National LGBTQ+ Groups Endorse Jamie McLeod-Skinner
On Monday, LGBTQ+ Victory Fund led a coalition of national LGBTQ+ organizations to endorse Jamie McLeod-Skinner on day-one of her historic run for Congress. Jamie would be the first out LGBTQ+ person ever elected to Congress from the state of Oregon.
“For far too long, Oregon’s vibrant LGBTQ+ community has lacked representation in Congress. Jamie is well prepared to be their voice and not just fend off anti-LGBTQ and anti-choice legislation, but fight for policies that protect and affirm all Oregonians,” said Victory Fund President & CEO Mayor Annise Parker.

Spotlight candidate Luanne Peterpaul, who is running for the New Jersey General Assembly, was recently endorsed by the New Jersey League of Conservation Voters.

Victory Fund Alumnus 🤝 Victory Fund Candidate
On Tuesday, California state Assembly candidate and outgoing Palm Springs Mayor Christy Gilbert Holstege received the endorsement of Congressman Robert Garcia, a Victory Fund alumnus and the first out LGBTQ+ immigrant ever elected to Congress. If elected, Christy would also make LGBTQ+ history as the first out bisexual woman to serve in the California legislature.
