John, we wanted to take a quick second to update you on one of the biggest races of the year — Rhode Island’s 1st Congressional District, where Rep. David Cicilline’s retirement gives us a rare off-year opportunity to send a bold progressive to the House of Representatives.
As of today, WFP champion and candidate for RI-01 Aaron Regunberg has officially collected enough signatures to qualify for the ballot!
We know that Aaron is the kind of transformative leader who can make this a country where everyone can thrive — and his record speaks for itself.
As a community organizer, he founded an education justice organization to empower students and improve our public schools. As a state representative, he championed massive wins of sick days, better wages, and green energy for the people of Rhode Island. And as a climate lawyer, he worked to hold Big Oil accountable and defend our planet from greedy corporations.
With the primary less than two months away, we need to get to work making sure every voter in Rhode Island’s 1st Congressional District knows how Aaron will fight for them. And to do that, we need your support.
