DACA changed my life, but I and hundreds of thousands of others like me still aren’t able to live our lives freely.
I’d like to think that with citizenship, I would have been able to travel to places all over the world. It’s something I’ve always dreamt of doing, and something that I still have hope for if we can secure a pathway to citizenship.
Looking back, having citizenship meant that I would’ve been able to say goodbye to my great grandmother in Mexico before she passed away.
Every aspect of your life is impacted without citizenship, and I’m tired of all the instability.
It’s time for permanent protections. With DACA recipients’ future in jeopardy and millions more undocumented people lacking any form of protections, we cannot wait to act.
