We need to start holding corporations accountable.

Friend, General Electric has agreed to pay $63 million to clean up the Housatonic River, but it comes at a cost.

For decades, GE has used the Housatonic River as a waste basin, dumping millions of pounds of PCBs into its clear waters. Last week’s settlement is a big step forward in cleaning and restoring this natural resource which is treasured in the Berkshires. However, it leaves communities in Western Mass to cope with a large PCB landfill in their backyard.

I am running for congress because greedy corporations and corporate executives must be held both financially and criminally accountable. Can you contribute today to ensure we have the funds we need to hold these corporations and the corporate Democrats who support them accountable?

This story is far too common across our country. Companies pollute communities, destroy our environment, and leave us to deal with the repercussions. With Richard Neal as Chair of the Ways & Means Committee, we will never be able to hold corporate polluters accountable. He is a roadblock to achieving environmental justice in our country.

Richard Neal has accepted $82,500 from GE. Richard Neal will never hold corporations accountable because he is in their pocket. This is just another example of how Congressman Neal’s interests have been paid for by corporations. We cannot trust a leader who accepts funds from companies that continue harmful practices that destroy our natural resources and contribute to the climate crisis.
