*1.??Building on filing season 2023 success, IRS continues to improve service, pursue high-income individuals evading taxes, modernize technology*________________________________________________________________________

The IRS is continuing to build on its progress [ [link removed] ] by focusing on critical work across the agency in achieving world-class service, strengthening enforcement against high-income individuals who do not pay taxes owed, and modernizing core technology infrastructure to enable better service and improve data security. The IRS is focused on efforts to help taxpayers get it right the first time, while delivering enhanced technology, mail-sorting, scanning and digitization capabilities. The IRS is working to ensure high income taxpayers pay the taxes they owe by focusing on making delinquent millionaires pay up, pursuing tax-evading millionaires and cracking down on millionaire non-filers.

As part of an expanding effort to improve service, the Internal Revenue Service continues expanding Taxpayer Assistance Centers [ [link removed] ] across the country while also starting a special series of events to help taxpayers located in areas not close to the agency?s in-person offices.
