The GOP has a rhetoric problem. In the same breath, they claim to be anti-racist, but feel comfortable uplifting and coddling white supremacy and white nationalist groups and narratives.
First - Donald Trump refused to denounce white supremacy and hate groups, and enabled their ire with his "stand back at stand by" comment at a Presidential debate in September of 2020.
Then - Militia groups, and openly antisemitic and racist rioters attacked the Capitol on January 6th, 2021.
Now - Members of the GOP, like Tommy Tuberville, have on record refused outright condemnation of white nationalism and white supremacy. They, instead, redirect attention at other groups in what is a seeming defense of hate groups.
It should not be this difficult for the GOP to condemn white supremacy.
John - this is what we face if the GOP takes over the Senate in 2024...they already have a majority in the House, and uplift the conspiracies of the fringe right like Marjorie Greene, Paul Gosar, and more. Help us organize across rural America and win the votes we need to secure and defend the Senate from a radical takeover!
