Electric vehicles

A new study has uncovered the cities that have invested the most in EV infrastructure.

Nottingham is ranked in the top three - we?re a city really plugged into the EV revolution.

In the city, there are:

  • 166 charging points on the D2N2 network including 41 in the Broad Marsh Car Park, one of the largest installations in the UK
  • More EV charge points in park and ride sites than anywhere else in the UK
  • Solar-powered charging stations with battery storage
  • 184 workplace EV charging points.

Plus 42% of Nottingham City Council?s own fleet of vehicles is now electric!

Bus and Tram user survey

Bus and tram survey

We?re proud of our public transport system in Nottingham - which is an important part of our strategy to become a carbon neutral city by 2028, but there is always more work to do.

We want to hear your thoughts about bus and tram travel. What works, and what could be better - to help shape the future of travel in the city.

The survey will take about ten minutes to complete, and closes Sunday 13 August. Have your say here.?

Kids eat free summer offers

free activities for families

We know many local families are struggling at the moment and that the summer holidays can be a difficult period financially when trying to keep kids entertained.

It?s worth being aware of offers that are available at many outlets where kids eat free or for ?1 during the six-week holidays. Supermarkets Asda, Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury?s all have offers, as do pub chains Beefeater and Brewer?s Fayre, Hungry Horse, Whitbread Inns, Future Inns and Sizzling Pubs. Restaurants including Bella Italia and Yo! Sushi and hotel chains Travelodge and Premier Inn also run similar offers, along with the restaurants/cafes at Ikea and Dunelm.

Check out each organisation?s website or call in advance to check if offers apply at the outlets you are planning to visit.
