John,

EMERGENCY ALERT: Trump’s EPA is on the verge of rushing the approval of four more types of PFAS.¹

Per and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are hidden in things we use every day, from the Teflon coated pans we cook with to the Scotchguard-sprayed carpets we walk on. They’re in our shoes, our food wrappers and even our microwave popcorn bags.² And because of sloppy manufacturing and disposal practices, these chemicals have leached into our water.

PFAS have been found in the drinking water supply of 100 million Americans, and studies show that 97 percent of us already have them in our bloodstream. But what really makes PFAS dangerous is that they don’t break down in the environment. That’s why we call them “forever chemicals.”

The House of Representatives just passed ground-breaking legislation to finally regulate PFAS, and we need to keep momentum going in the Senate before Trump allows even more forever chemicals into our water and environment.

Will you make an urgent donation to help stop forever chemicals and pass the PFAS Action Act in the Senate?

Washington insiders said it would be impossible to pass the PFAS bill in the House, and that even if we did, Republicans would never vote for it.

But your committed support has made it possible for Food & Water Action to demand — and achieve — what the insiders said was impossible. After a nationwide grassroots organizing campaign to raise public awareness about forever chemicals, we helped pass the bill in the House with bipartisan support.

Now it’s on to the Senate! And with Trump proposing to rush the approval of four more types of PFAS, the stakes are higher than ever.

DONATE NOW

We’re mobilizing now to build the grassroots support we need to convince senators on both sides of the aisle that it’s time to stop PFAS, just like we did in the House. Will you join us?

Yes, I’ll donate today to pass the PFAS Action Act and stop toxic “forever chemicals.”
