It's that time of the year again — the time to celebrate our party's proud history, our incredible grassroots volunteers and supporters, and to prepare for the fights ahead in November.
Earlier this week, we announced that our 2023 State Dinner will take place on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at the JW Marriott Indianapolis and be keynoted by Congressman and Republican U.S. Senate candidate Jim Banks. Congressman Banks is unabashedly a proud Hoosier conservative who has fought for our shared Republican values both in the halls of the statehouse and the halls of Congress. We're excited to have him join us as we already begin to look ahead to next year.
The night will also feature a special presentation of the graduating 2023 cohort of the Indiana Republican Diversity Leadership Series, our nationally-recognized seminar and leadership training program helping minority Republicans across the state step into party and civic leadership roles. This will be our third graduating class, and we're thrilled to have Bowie, Maryland, Mayor Pro Tem and City Councilwoman Roxy Ndebumadu joining us to provide remarks and present the cohort with their certificates.
This will be an event you won't want to miss.
So click here to RSVP, and we'll see you in August! Sincerely, |

Another Investment in Broadband |
|
|
Governor Eric Holcomb stands with newly-appointed Tax Court Judge Justin McAdam and his family. Gov. Holcomb appointed McAdam to the position earlier this week. |
This week, Governor Eric Holcomb announced that the fourth and final round of the state's Next Level Connections Broadband Grant program funding is open, offering $80 million in grants to providers and utilities in order to deliver high-speed internet across the state.
As a part of Governor Holcomb’s $1 billion Next Level Connections initiative launched in 2018, the state has awarded more than $249 million to 187 broadband projects, bringing internet to more than 69,154 Hoosiers in 81 counties. And when accounting for local matching funds, that total amounts to more than $547 million invested in this critical infrastructure.
What they're saying: “As a state, since 2018 we have made unprecedented investments in connecting Indiana residents to their neighbors, schools, and the rest of the world like never before in our history.” said Gov. Holcomb.

Axios: Old Yeller: Biden's Private Fury |
Joe Biden (Jan. 20, 2021): "I am not joking when I say this, if you are ever working with me and I hear you treat another colleague with disrespect, talk down to someone, I promise you I will fire you on the spot. On the spot. No ifs, ands or buts."
In 2024, we can fire Joe Biden. From Axios: "In public, President Biden likes to whisper to make a point.
"In private, he's prone to yelling. Behind closed doors, Biden has such a quick-trigger temper that some aides try to avoid meeting alone with him. Some take a colleague, almost as a shield against a solo blast."
"The president's admonitions include: 'God dammit, how the f**k don't you know this?!,' 'Don't f**king bullsh*t me!' and 'Get the f**k out of here!' — according to current and former Biden aides who have witnessed and been on the receiving end of such outbursts."

HEA 1008 Will Protect Pension Investments |
During the 2023 session, the legislature passed, and Governor Holcomb signed, HEA 1008, a bill to protect and maximize pension investments.
The details: The bill protects Hoosier pensions and public retirement funds, ensuring the focus of investments are exclusively on maximizing returns and not favor subjective environmental, social and governance factors. - "Indiana’s pension funds should only be considering financial risks and maximizing returns, and should not focus on fair-weather politics and standards that seem to be constantly changing," stated Rep. Ethan Manning, author of the bill.

"Bidenomics" Has Hollowed Out the Middle Class |
From FactCheckBiden.com:
In his newest absurd claim, Biden now wants credit for wage gains that happened before he became president. The reality is "Bidenomics" is hollowing out the middle class and forcing Americans to accept lower real wages. Biden’s economic fantasy couldn’t be further from the truth Americans are facing.
Zoom in: Under Joe’s Bidenomics, persistent inflation has eaten away at wage gains, and more and more Americans have struggled financially. -
Bidenflation outpaced wages for a majority of Biden’s presidency – real average hourly earnings were negative for 25 months and real average weekly earnings were negative for 26 months.
-
Since February 2021, when inflation-adjusted average hourly wages - the Bureau of Labor Statistics adjusts to 1982-1984 dollars - sat at $11.39, real hourly wages have decreased by 3 percent.
What is true? Bidenomics is nothing more than lower wages and higher costs. |
