[[link removed]]The Southern Resident orca population is at one of its lowest points in decades,
and these magnificent creatures are on the BRINK OF EXTINCTION.

First: New orca mother Tahlequah mourned her baby when it died just thirty minutes
after being born, carrying its body over 1,000 miles in her grief before letting
go.

Then: Playful Cappuccino, Marina the matriarch, and young Ripple died from starvation
-- deaths that their families are still grieving.

Now: Two new orcas were just born, but they are already in extreme danger of starving to death.

Only 75 orcas are left in the Southern Resident pods -- and 13 of them are in
dire straits as they were recently deemed “vulnerable” due to their
astonishingly poor physical condition. But a new shipping terminal and oil
pipeline expansion threaten the remaining whales, their entire ecosystems, and
the communities who live nearby. Just one oil spill could completely wipe out
the last remaining orcas -- including these new babies.

[[link removed]]We need your help to save majestic orcas and their beautiful ocean habitats.
We’re doing everything we can to stop Big Oil from polluting our oceans and
coastal communities and driving climate change, but we need your help now.

Every dollar you give before midnight tonight will be MATCHED to meet our
$90,000 World Orca Day goal and continue this critical work. Rush a membership
donation now and have it go TWICE AS FAR to protect Southern Resident orcas,
other endangered animals, and our planet!
