The Hundred returns to Trent Bridge for the summer holidays, bringing action-packed cricket from the world’s best men's and women's players alongside an incredible line-up of entertainment and live music.

We're giving you the chance to win four tickets to the opening match on Tuesday 1 August! For the first time ever, the opening fixture of the competition will take place at Trent Bridge, as Nottingham’s home side Trent Rockets take on Southern Brave.

All four home games are expected to be full houses, with the local derby against Birmingham Phoenix on Saturday 19 August already sold out.

As well as world-class stars such as Nat Sciver-Brunt and Joe Root on the pitch, there will be live music from Dylan, as part of The Hundred’s partnership with BBC Music Introducing, providing an entertaining day out for friends and family. Tickets start from £18 for adults, under 16s are £5 and under 6s go free.

Arboretum & Victoria Embankment

Our Bands in the Park season returns this summer with free concerts at the Arboretum and Victoria Embankment. Each performance begins at 2pm at the parks' magnificent bandstands.

*Cool Jazz [ [link removed] ]* is a tenor sax led quintet playing Swing and Latin from the 30s to the 70s. Their instrumental and vocal numbers range from relaxing to toe-tapping. Cool Jazz will play at the Arboretum on Sunday 30 July.

Now in its 33rd year, *Nottingham Concert Band [ [link removed] ]* draws from a wide repertoire, so there is always something for everyone at their concerts. Led by Conductor and Music Director Robert Parker, they perform at Victoria Embankment on Sunday 3 September.

A month-long season of murder mystery plays has been a regular fixture at the Theatre Royal since impresario Colin McIntyre produced and directed his first season here in 1988. The Theatre Royal’s annual Classic Thriller Season is named in his memory.

This season's performances include "Love from a Stranger", "Father Brown - A Crime at Christmas", "Murderous Liaisons" and "Snake in the Grass".
