Friend –
Farmers are the backbone of our country and work hard to feed our families. But unfortunately, the practices used on the majority of farms pollute our waterways, deplete our soil, and contribute to climate change.
The good news is that there is another way. Farms that incorporate modern conservation practices have healthier soils, yield more crops, save money, and create less pollution.
It takes an initial investment to put these practices in place, and not all farmers and parts of the agricultural sectors have access to that kind of capital – and they need our help.
Sign this petition urging our elected officials to support our farmers and prioritize sustainable farming practices: [link removed]
Friend, sustainable agricultural practices are vital to building resilient farms, especially in the face of extreme storms, heat waves, droughts, and flooding. Farmers who are Black, Indigenous, other people of color, or low-income are disproportionately impacted by these kinds of disasters and must be prioritized in future programming for farmers.
By supporting our farmers and encouraging budget-friendly, climate-smart conservation practices, we can work to ensure that our local farms thrive, that critical food production is uninterrupted, and that our natural resources are well-protected.
We need to raise our voices and ensure that our lawmakers are setting our communities up for success by supporting our farmers! Sign our petition telling our elected officials that we support our farmers and that they need support to put sustainable practices in place: [link removed]
Once you’ve signed, help us maximize our impact! Share this petition with your friends, family, and colleagues.
