Hunter’s Ultimate Purpose

House Republicans this week released another round of damning messages related to Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings. And, yet again, Joe Biden is implicated in Hunter’s schemes.

The messages date back to 2015 and Hunter’s service on the board of Ukrainian energy company Burisma. Vadym Pozharskyi, a Burisma executive, emailed Hunter Biden and two of Hunter’s associates, Devon Archer and Eric Schwerin, to discuss the “ultimate purpose ([link removed]) ” of Burisma’s contract with Hunter and his partners.

Pozharskyi was concerned that their initial proposal, which he labeled a “BS engagement,” was vague and unclear, and he wanted to ensure that they were “on the same page.” So, he got straight to the point.

Their “ultimate purpose,” Pozharskyi wrote, was to “close down any cases/pursuits against Nikolay [Zlochevsky] in Ukraine.”

Who exactly is Nikolay Zlochesvsky? He was the founder and president of Bursima who was under investigation for corruption by the Ukrainian government. And we know how that turned out. Joe Biden ([link removed]) got the Ukrainian prosecutor fired!

If anyone was looking for a Biden bribery “smoking gun,” that’s about as good as it gets!

Remember that Democrats impeached Donald Trump because he dared to ask Ukrainian President Zelensky to expose the truth about all of this. Is Zelensky now blackmailing Biden?

Perhaps that explains why the FBI sat on Hunter Biden’s laptop for a year and groomed social media companies to believe it was Russian disinformation. Joe Biden was the Democrat nominee, and the Deep State desperately wanted to defeat Donald Trump.

Reacting to this latest revelation, Senator Charles Grassley said:

“There can be no doubt about Burisma’s motives for paying Hunter Biden millions. . . it’s right there in black and white. This was always about enlisting the Biden name to influence U.S. policy. . . The Justice Department forced Burisma’s lobbying firm to register as foreign agents. Why wasn’t Hunter Biden?"

That’s a very good question. (See next item.)

The Deep States Strikes Back

Back in May, we reported that a key witness in the Biden bribery investigation had gone missing ([link removed]) . The good news is that the witness has been identified.

The bad news is that the Biden Justice Department just indicted him ([link removed]) on multiple charges, including failing to register as a foreign agent.

Once again, the weaponization of justice is on full display. The Deep State doesn’t want Dr. Gal Luft to talk to congressional investigators, so they are pulling out all the stops to shut him up by trying to lock him up.

If anyone should be prosecuted for failing to register as a foreign agent, it’s Hunter Biden! In fact, we know that Hunter was deliberately avoiding ([link removed]) registering as a foreign agent.

If we had a fair and balanced media, Joe Biden would be out of office by the end of the week, and Hunter would be sharing a jail cell with Merrick Garland, James Comey and Christopher Wray!

But wait. . . There’s more!

The Secret Service announced today that it has closed its investigation into the cocaine found in the West Wing of the White House and – SURPRISE! – it has no clue who did it ([link removed]) .

I’m not buying it. It certainly looks like a coverup.

The idea that dangerous and illegal substances can be brought into the White House, right under the noses of our best Secret Service agents, without any detection at all is unconscionable!

A Wray Review

Yesterday, I gave you my initial thoughts on the outrageous performance by FBI Director Christopher Wray before the House Judiciary Committee. But I always check myself by seeing what others, like Professor Jonathan Turley, have to say.

Turley is a constitutional scholar and a liberal, which is why his perspective is unique. I listened to Turley’s analysis last night ([link removed]) and again this morning ([link removed]) , and he’s just as furious as I am that Wray treated Congress and the American people like we’re chumps.

It’s clear that Director Wray is not going to tell members of Congress anything about anything that matters. Wray did his best to make it impossible for them to do their constitutionally mandated oversight of executive branch agencies.

We’ve all heard of the phrase, “Who is watching the watchers?” Every free society confronts this central issue. When they fail to “watch the watchers” is when they begin the slide into authoritarianism.

On every matter of serious concern, Wray said he couldn’t talk about it, or he deflected, saying, “The matter is under investigation.” Well, something being under investigation can’t be a “Get Out of Congress Free” card.

Wray was asked repeatedly about FBI pressure on social media companies to censor the American people. He insisted his agency did not do that. The FBI was only trying to alert social media companies to foreign disinformation.

Wray is either clueless or he lied to Congress. We haven’t forgotten the Twitter files ([link removed]) !

Elon Musk and leading journalists exposed how the FBI was censoring Americans. Wray’s claim that the FBI was only passing along information about potential disinformation doesn’t pass the straight face test.

When the FBI contacts the leadership of a company, it’s not a polite suggestion. And don’t forget that key executives at Twitter were former FBI officials ([link removed]) .

We know that the FBI seized thousands of phone records ([link removed]) , including those belonging to members of Congress ([link removed]) , as part of its unprecedented sweep of information following the events of January 6th.

We know the FBI told Bank of America what information it wanted, and yet Wray had the audacity to claim yesterday that the bank voluntarily shared ([link removed]) the information.

I can see something like this happening to Russians who attended a demonstration near the Kremlin. But it should never happen in the United States of America!

Wray was asked if FBI agents surveilled school board meetings in order to target conservative parents as “domestic terrorists.” He said, “The FBI is not in the business of policing speech at school board meetings . . . and we’re not going to start now.”

Well, FBI whistleblower Stephen Friend ([link removed]) tweeted, “[Wray] lied. The Joint Terrorism Task Force in my office did it. I testified about the details in May.”

Chairman Jim Jordan pressed Wray about the “Richmond memo” targeting Catholic churches, and said he wanted to talk to the agents involved in producing that memo.

Wray rebuffed Jordan’s request, saying the matter is under investigation and a report will be available in a couple of months for Jordan to read then.

This controversy erupted back in February! What possible investigation of this memo could take five, six or seven months? Somebody, perhaps several people, should have been fired months ago!

This is just stalling and stonewalling, while our First Amendment rights are being trampled by Biden’s biased bureaucrats!

I’m glad House Republicans were aggressive in their questioning of Director Wray yesterday, but this is going nowhere. In fact, it could be counterproductive.

I reviewed various popular conservative sites yesterday, and the theme everywhere was total frustration – “When is Congress going to do something?!”

The House GOP majority must act to rein in this rogue regime!

Musk vs. The Left

Elon Musk is doubling down against the left. He recently offered to help promote ([link removed]) the anti-sex trafficking movie, Sound of Freedom, which leftists are attacking for some bizarre reason.

Now, Musk just announced that he’s launching his own company devoted to developing artificial intelligence (AI) to compete with ChatGPT, and that’s a good thing because Musk is committed to free speech and to fighting the “woke mind virus.”

We’ve seen plenty of examples already (here ([link removed]) , here ([link removed]) and here ([link removed]) ) of how left-wing companies developing AI technology are programming it to reflect the views of those who have spent too many years in the left-wing indoctrination centers that we call colleges and universities.

As they say, “Garbage in, garbage out.”
