Team,
Exactly a year ago today, I joined my colleagues in passing the PACT Act through the House.
As a veteran myself, I know how important it is to get our servicemembers the care they deserve. Soldiers I served alongside in Iraq and Afghanistan suffer the effects of toxic exposure. Because of the PACT Act, our veterans are starting to get that care.
But today also marks the day my colleague, Lauren Boebert, voted against the legislation:
Unfortunately, this isn’t anything new. We’ve known for a while that Lauren Boebert and MAGA extremists would rather score political points than get things done. Just weeks ago, they paid lip service to the sacrifices veterans made to serve our country — all while threatening to make drastic cuts to veterans’ benefits.
Talk is cheap. Leadership requires showing up.
Congress has the ability to make a real difference in people’s lives. We need to stop grandstanding and take action.
It’ll take a grassroots movement to beat back extremism and build a new generation of leadership. I’m all in. Will you join me with a donation?
