# [#] Right before the 4th of July Long Weekend, the ultra-conservative Supreme Court banned affirmative action and struck down President Biden’s student debt cancellation plan, all while making it legal for businesses to discriminate against LGBTQ+ Americans.

Ironically, these conservative judges went on to blissfully enjoy the 4th, despite causing real harm to millions of low-income and marginalized Americans.

It is unacceptable to allow these unethical, ultra conservative justices to attack the rights of Americans in the name of “judicial reasoning.” Add your name to condemn the Supreme Court for actively taking away essential rights from millions of Americans and ignoring the needs of working Americans. This is not a normal Court. It is one fueled by an extreme GOP agenda and dark money, with no consideration for the proper ethics of the highest court of the land.

It is unsurprising to see how deep this court’s commitment to the GOP is: Trump appointed Justice Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett because of their strict conservative alignment. Justice Clarence Thomas actively accepts millions of dollars in gifts and glitzy vacations from a Republican billionaire.

Based on the trajectory of our 6-3 conservative majority Court and the recent rulings, we need major judicial reforms.

I am a strong advocate for expanding the Court under the Biden administration to counteract this unethical and extremist influence. We cannot sit idly by and watch this GOP majority chip away at progress toward equity, fairness and opportunity.
