John,

Put on your sunblock, and jump in the truck -- ‘cause it’s Fancy Farm day!

This huge picnic is held every year in Graves County and is one of the state’s greatest political traditions. Andy has deep family roots in western Kentucky, and he’s excited to be back again this year, talking directly to Kentuckians about the ways he’ll work to make their lives better as governor.

In the car on the way here, I brushed up on my Fancy Farm facts:

  • This picnic is in its 139th consecutive year
  • Up to 15,000 picnickers will be there
  • They’ll eat approximately 18,000 lbs of BBQ
  • Fancy Farm made it into the Guinness Book of World Records in 1985 as the “world’s largest picnic”

It’s incredible! You know I love numbers -- that’s why I’m Andy’s finance director! But honestly, we’re slightly behind where we need to be, which is why I’m writing. Can you please pitch in?

If we can raise $10,000 this weekend, we’ll be in a strong position heading into the final few critical months of the campaign. Your donation -- even if it’s small -- will help get us there!

So as Andy does his job of focusing on the people of Kentucky today, I’m doing my job of making sure we have the budget to bring our message to every voter. As long as we can do that, we’ll win this race and give Kentuckians the honest, hardworking government they deserve.

Please chip in to help Andy reach every voter in these critical months before the election.

Thank you so much. And happy picnicking!

Meg
