John --

BNC Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other members of the “Squad” are introducing a robust platform to address the growing housing crisis.

This is great news because the majority of Brand New Congress candidates highlight housing affordability and homelessness as core issues in their districts and states. Whether in metro New York or rural Washington State, we hear the same stories.

Housing costs are skyrocketing across the country and families are struggling to keep a roof over their heads as the instances of homelessness are on the rise.

Each BNC candidate signed our 21st Century Bill of Rights pledge which guarantees safe, adequate and modern housing as a human right.

Can you contribute today to help more BNC candidates become BNC representatives?

The bills proposed by AOC and others include:

  • measures to strengthen tenants’ rights,
  • investments in public housing,
  • $10 million in new public housing units,
  • $200 billion in community control and anti-gentrification efforts,
  • the Housing as a Human Rights Act.

These proposals may sound great and are a start, but remember, for legislation to make it past the House and Senate we must have the votes! It’s critical that we elect more unbought representatives in 2020 so bold policy ideas can become bold policies implemented.

BNC candidates in Ohio, Illinois, and Texas are facing primaries in just weeks, and we are now only $2846 away from raising $30,000 this month!

Hitting this goal will help us get a call team off the ground to reach voters and mobilize across the country. It’s going to take a movement to win. Can you give just $10 today to help us get out the vote in these critical races?

Yours for the revolution,

Zeynab Day
