Dear Friend, Today, the House Rules Committee dealt a major blow to the marijuana industry by rejecting every single pro-pot amendment that lawmakers tried to attach to the must-pass annual National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Click here to chip-in to our fight against Big Marijuana. This major victory would not have been possible without the swift action of SAM’s Government Affairs team, who engaged and partnered with Members of Congress and the most senior Rules Committee staff directly. This won't be the last time that the industry lobbies Congress to legalize marijuana. And we need your support so that we can continue our successful efforts to defeat legalization. This is a win for public health and safety as dangerous and extreme amendments, such as one that aimed to ban marijuana testing for military recruits, were defeated. Despite the House moving forward with votes on other controversial amendments, the Rules Committee prevented all pot amendments from even getting a vote on the floor. Donate to SAM Action Today No matter the size of your gift, it will help us continue our fight against the marijuana industry and its investors Big Tobacco, Big Alcohol, and Big Pharma. Thank you for all that you do, Kevin Dr. Kevin Sabet, President & Co-Founder Smart Approaches to Marijuana (SAM) Smart Approaches to Marijuana (SAM) | 107 S.
