Before I ask you to chip in to help me defend my seat in Ohio, defend the Senate, and help elect Democrats up and down the ballot, I just want to take a moment to explain why I'm in this fight and what your grassroots contribution would mean today.

I grew up in Mansfield, Ohio, in a community of ironworkers, carpenters, autoworkers, and electricians. Today, I live in Cleveland with my wife, Connie, and our two rescue dogs, Franklin and Walter.

I've devoted my life to fighting for the Dignity of Work -- the idea that hard work should pay off for everyone, no matter who you are, where you live, or what kind of work you do.

That’s what I’m focused on every day in the Senate. But right now, I’m facing my toughest race yet, and I need your help to win. So I’m asking:
