BREAKING: New Poll Shows California Senate Race Is a Near-Statistical TIE

John – you're a key part of this movement, so I wanted you to be the first to hear the good news: 

A new independent poll released yesterday shows that this race is a near-statistical TIE among likely voters. Will you rush a donation right now to help me raise $50,000 to pull ahead?

This poll proves two things:

First: Our plan for a progressive future is resonating with voters – we're closing the gap in the polls, and fast. Now, we're within 3 points of qualifying for the general election next November, so this race is anyone's to win.

Second: I'm winning over voters as they learn more about my progressive record and story of public service. But if I'm going to pull ahead and take the lead in this race, I need your help today.

It's clear that we have the momentum to win, but we need to make sure we have the resources. And unfortunately, Black women candidates on average raise much less than their white peers – so we have to make every dollar count. 

That's why my team has put together a Voter Contact Fund so I can focus resources toward voter outreach as I travel the state spreading my message – and I'm counting on your help to build up this fund.

I need to raise at least $50,000 before midnight tonight to stay on track with our finance plan, but I can't do it without the help of this powerful grassroots team. So I'm humbly asking:
