Dear John,

We are seeing an attack on parental rights and the innocence of childhood, at a level never seen before. In fact, staff in many of our nation’s schools are affirming a child’s expressed gender confusion and hiding it from parents, while exposing them to books and materials that are blatantly pornographic.


Concerned parents and other citizens across our district have been pushing back against publicly funded libraries that are displaying age-inappropriate books and making them available to children.


We are witnessing a national conversation about the harm caused to our nation’s children by an emerging movement with an ideology that promotes the sexualization of minors, and gender-altering treatment and surgeries that cause irreparable lifelong physical and emotional harm.


I am hearing from more and more parents and families who have simply had enough.


I am fighting in Washington by sponsoring and co-sponsoring legislation to defend parents and children, including:
* H.R. 9197 – Stop the Sexualization of Children Act, which would prohibit the use of federal funds for any sexually-oriented program, event, or literature for children under the age of 10.
* H.R. 8731 – Protect Children’s Innocence Act, which would make it a federal crime to administer puberty blockers to minors.
* H.R. 3704 – Children Have Opportunities in Classrooms Everywhere (CHOICE) Act, which would let families use federal dollars for the public, private, or home school expenses of their choice.
* H.R. 5731 – Championing our Parents Act, which prohibits federal funds from being used to implement AG Merrick Garland’s memo targeting parents.

I am fighting back locally by hosting a rally where you can connect with parents, patriots, and other groups that are pushing back against this ideology and working to elect candidates for school board, board of supervisors, city council, and other local offices - all to protect our children.


The rally will be held on Saturday, July 22, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Courtland Festival Park, located at 339 Court Street in Appomattox.
