- Dave’s a climate warrior. He wrote legislation to end offshore oil drilling, preserve and expand our protected open spaces, and aggressively decarbonize our economy.
- Dave fights for reproductive choice. He earned a perfect score from Planned Parenthood and NARAL – and has authored key reproductive rights legislation, including to make California the first state in the country to recognize reproductive coercion as a form of domestic violence and making abortion access a constitutional right in-state.
- Dave looks out for small businesses. He passed the Small Business Relief Grant Program, which allocated over $4 billion in relief grants to small businesses suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Dave invests in Orange County. He’s helped bring nearly $70 million in infrastructure projects for the Jeffrey Open Space Trail in Irvine, the Orange County Fire Authority, Costa Mesa Park upgrades, and more.
- Dave stands up to hatred. He’s denounced and addressed anti-Asian hate, anti-Semitic hate, anti-Muslim hate, anti-Black hate, and anti-LGBTQ+ hate, including by leading over 200 anti-hate events, authoring two key bills to address harassment on public transit, and helping to pass the API Equity budget.
