Dear Friend,

This summer marks the 14th anniversary of MediaJustice's co-founder, Malkia Devich-Cyril. Malkia is an activist, writer, and public speaker on digital rights, narrative power, Black liberation, and collective grief. They have been a trailblazer in the media justice movement, leading campaigns that challenged Facebook, the FBI, and the prison-industrial complex.

Malkia’s legacy is one of courage, creativity, and compassion. They have shown us what media justice looks like and why it matters. Now it’s up to us to honor their work and realize their vision.

Make a Donation in Honor of Malkia Devich-Cyril
Your support will power programs such as:
  • Our Copaganda Clapback! Curriculum, which resources communities with case studies and activities to debunk copaganda in their communities.
  • The 2023 Network Fellowship cohort, which connects 12 fellows with MJNF mentors to create their own projects that fight racialized disinformation.
  • Unshackling Freedom, our learning series that provides communities and organizations impacted by electronic monitoring with organizing space, strategy support, and tools to catalyze local campaigns.
With your help, we can honor Malkia's vision and empower communities to build narrative power and dignity in our digital age. Your donation will help us continue the fight for a future where we are all connected, represented, and free.
In Solidarity,

Steven Renderos
