Patriot,

Your efforts are working!

Yesterday, we warned that the situation in Washington was "fluid"
regarding an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act
to end the indefinite detention of American citizens without due
process - something Campaign for Liberty has fought for since
President Barack Obama signed it into law in 2012.

Today, the amendment is being brought to the House floor under
Rule 2.

This is GREAT NEWS,
and now we need to PASS THIS AMENDMENT.

Right now, it's absolutely critical lawmakers hear from as many
of us as possible.

Here is what we need you to do:

Call your representative, RIGHT NOW, at (202) 224-3121 and DEMAND
they vote for the Rosendale Amendment to end indefinite detention
of Americans without due process.

Here is a simple script you can use when leaving a message (with
a live person as well as a machine), or say what you like:

Hello, this is (your name) from (your city and state). I'm
calling on you to vote to ADOPT the Rosendale Amendment to the
National Defense Authorization Act, to prohibit the indefinite
detention of American citizens without due process.

No one should be indefinitely detained without charge or trial
based on a president's belief that the person is "dangerous." No
president, and certainly no government bureaucrat, should ever be
given the power to order a person indefinitely detained, without
sufficient evidence to bring a charge.

This provision of the NDAA is grossly unconstitutional and needs
to be amended to protect the constitutional rights of all
American citizens.

This might be voted on at any moment. Don't hesitate - call your
representative at (202) 224-3121 RIGHT NOW!

If they don't pick up, leave a message and try calling back in
just a bit. Keep their phones ringing with support for the
Rosendale Amendment.

And if, after you call your representative, you follow up with a
contribution to Campaign for Liberty, your support makes it
possible for C4L to increase the pressure by bringing this
message to more patriots like you.

Identifying and reaching out to bring in new members and
supporters isn't free. Neither is mobilizing and delivering your
petitions to the Capitol.

But the more resources we have, the more we can do, so if
possible, please chip in a contribution to help us win this
battle.

Thanks for all you do for Liberty,

John McCardell
Executive Director
Campaign for Liberty

P.S. Your efforts are paying off, but you and I can't back down
now!

Passing the Rosendale Amendment should be a no-brainer but
remember there are those in Washington who appear eager to throw
their opponents in prison without charges or trial.

That's why it's so critical you call your Representative at (202)
224-3121 RIGHT NOW and DEMAND he or she vote to ADOPT the
Rosendale Amendment to end the indefinite detention of American
citizens in the NDAA.

And then, please consider chipping in a donation to help us keep
the pressure on Congress to restore the Constitution and end
indefinite detention!
