Hey folks, Team Casten here.

We take our fundraising benchmarks seriously, whether they’re big or small. But our upcoming Mid-Month deadline is about so much more than having enough cash to keep our campaign up and running:

National Republicans and GOP dark-money groups will assess the strength of our grassroots fundraising operation, then decide how much they’re willing to invest in propping up a challenger in our district.

Posting strong fundraising numbers tells Republicans this is a strong and effective campaign ready to defend this district.

We can’t afford to stumble with the Republican Party watching our every move. So, will you help us bring in 200 grassroots donations of $25 or more before Saturday’s Mid-Month deadline to pull us through?

One of our main concerns at this point in the race is that IL-06 could end up back on the GOP’s targeted districts list — a situation which could see right-wing cash flood our election next year.

A weak financial position is a surefire way to get back at the top of that list. A strong position, on the other hand, will help us get — and stay — ahead.

Saturday’s deadline is a make-or-break moment for our grassroots campaign. It’s our very first deadline of the quarter, and our first chance to ensure we’re on the right track for the months ahead.

Please, help us send a clear message that Sean has the support he needs by pitching in $25 toward our $5,000 Mid-Month goal right away!
