Hi friend,

It’s been a few weeks since our June FEC deadline, so we wanted to give you a lay of the land on the campaign.

Over the last few weeks, a number of things have started to become more clear in this Senate race: The first public poll showed the Michigan Senate race in a dead heat. National Republicans have already launched digital attacks against Elissa. Two weeks ago, Donald Trump came to town in an effort to ignite the Republican base.

And two potential GOP candidates have been duking it out in the press trying to position themselves as the GOP frontrunner.

In light of all this, one of the most important things our campaign is doing is building the core foundation we’ll need for success down the line. So while we are not facing a FEC deadline this month, we do have very real internal goals and benchmarks we intend to meet in order to keep up our drumbeat of momentum through the election.

And with a Republican opponent (or two?) poised to jump in this race any day now, keeping up our grassroots momentum is especially important. That’s why we’re asking you directly:
