Dear friend,

Will you join us in calling on U.S. leaders to help alleviate world hunger?

Just yesterday, the U.N. issued a new report showing that the global food crisis is spiraling out of control in hunger hotspots, where people are grappling with conflict, climate change, inflation, and shortages. Up to 783 million people experienced hunger in 2022, an increase of 122 million compared to 2019.

As the Farm Bill moves through Congress, we must ensure our leaders take action to ensure timely, effective food assistance to communities that need it most. Sign the petition now.

Violent conflict, the long-term impacts of the pandemic, and the climate crisis have triggered a global food crisis. The war in Ukraine has upended global agricultural markets, further exacerbating the crisis by sending the costs of food, fuel, and fertilizer skyrocketing.

In our global work, we’re seeing firsthand how the hunger crisis impacts families struggling to put food on the table. We must take action now. Our leaders have the opportunity to amend the Farm Bill to eliminate barriers to food aid delivery.

Tell your Congressional representatives to take action now and move us closer to ending hunger around the world ▸

Thank you for helping to build a future where everyone can thrive.

Thank you,

The Mercy Corps team
