Thank you for your incredible support and participation in the "Turn up the volume! Turn up the wage!" event. Despite the challenging weather conditions, the community came out to support us in spreading awareness about the new minimum wage and fighting against wage theft in DC.

Now, it is more important than ever to check your pay stubs and ensure that you are being compensated correctly. The new base minimum wage in DC is $17 per hour, and for tipped workers it’s $8 per hour. If your total earnings, including tips, fall short of the DC minimum wage, your employer is required to cover the difference to ensure you receive the full minimum wage.
