Thanks to the generous support of our amazing partners, we are embarking on several new initiatives to further our mission of using investigative journalism through the prism of New York City to identify urban problems, examine their causes, explore solutions, and equip communities to take action. Here’s a roundup of recent grants from funding partners: |

We’re thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a two-year grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies to help us delve deeper into the effects of climate change on the most vulnerable communities in New York City. |
|
|
|

We’re grateful to the Altman Foundation for their support in helping us to launch an expanded data initiative. By leveraging data-driven insights, we will be able to uncover new perspectives, identify trends, and advocate for evidence-based solutions. |
|

|

We’re pleased to share that the Lily Auchincloss Foundation has provided us with a grant to support our general operations. Their generosity will enable us to continue our day-to-day activities and maintain the high quality of our reporting. |
|

We’re excited to announce that we received a two-year grant from The Scherman Foundation for general operating expenses. This funding will help us sustain and expand our programs, allowing us to reach more people and make a lasting difference. |
|

We're thankful to the Harman Foundation and the Dow Jones News Fund for their support of this summer’s CLARIFY program. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
We're actively seeking more funding for our bilingual news project, Una Ciudad sin Límites in order to expand our coverage to include a focus on the pressing issues of housing and homelessness amidst the asylum seekers crisis. |
|
|
|
For future data and visualization projects, we are seeking to hire freelancers adept at Excel, coding, and building interactives to help us turn our data reporting into compelling visualizations. If you or someone you know have these skills, please contact us at [email protected]. |
