FIRST: Washington Republicans cleared the path for Rosemary Becchi -- a corporate lobbyist with deep ties to special interest groups -- to jump into the race for NJ-11.

THEN: GOP boss Kevin McCarthy -- who just raised over 10 million dollars for Republican candidates -- threw his support behind Becchi.

NOW: The National Republican Congressional Committee just added Becchi to its ‘Young Guns’ program -- a group of candidates running in highly competitive races who will receive special treatment and secure national campaign dollars in their bids to flip Democratic congressional seats.

This is a big deal and should be a wakeup call for everyone on this grassroots team: Mikie’s seat is at risk and Becchi will have access to even more money as our race continues to heat up.
