Dear John,
The top combined personal income tax rate in every province except Alberta and Saskatchewan is currently higher than 50%.
But new polling data published by the Fraser Institute today finds that the majority of Canadians believe that personal income tax rates should not exceed 50%!
Conversely, only 19% of Canadians believe top personal income tax rates should be higher than 50%.
The poll also found that only 35% of Canadians want higher-income families to pay more in taxes – 42% think they should pay the same or less in taxes compared to current rates.
Read the full poll findings here, and be sure to spread this news on social media!
Sincerely,
Niels Veldhuis
President
