That was the average contribution to our campaign during the FEC deadline that just closed two weeks ago.
When you think about the amount of money that goes around in politics these days, $28 really isn’t a lot. And of course, many people give less — $5, $10, whatever they can afford at the time.
That’s because this progressive movement isn’t backed by Super PACs and far-right mega donors. We don’t rely on corporate interests like Big Oil, who spent $124,400,000 alone on federal lobbying last year amid record profits.
We rely on regular folks like you — thousands and thousands of people — who are willing to chip in what they can to power our fight for progressive change. And this movement has proven time and time again that we are up to the task.
With that in mind, we’ve set an ambitious fundraising goal for July because we can’t miss a beat after filing our FEC report. We’re confident that we can get there, $28 at a time, with your help. Believe us, it adds up quickly when we're all chipping in.
