High-Speed Internet Expansions Across the State of Mississippi
The State of Mississippi is prioritizing high-speed internet. Governor Tate Reeves created the Broadband Expansion and Accessibility of Mississippi (BEAM) office and is making sure that over 300,000 unserved and 200,000 underserved locations will be able to gain access to high-speed internet across the state. You can help with this effort by reporting on your internet access here.
NDAA Bill and Pro-Life Policies
This week on the House Floor is consideration of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). I cosponsored an amendment to the NDAA to ensure the Department of Defense is not paying for elective abortion related expenses. Additionally, as a member of the House Appropriations Committee, I am proud of our efforts to protect life. Due to the work of Republican appropriators on pro-life issues, the Appropriations Committee received a Letter of Thanks from key pro-life policy groups. Read more here.
