2023 is what folks in politics like to call an “off year.” It’s not a presidential or midterm election year, so a lot of folks check out for a bit and wait for the return of flashier races to get involved again. (And, to be completely transparent, fundraising slows down during these so-called “off years” a TON)
Pam Stevenson is running to restore decency to the Kentucky Attorney General’s office and be the last defense against far-right attempts to roll back abortion and LGBTQ+ rights in the state. Her opponent is an anti-abortion, anti-democracy extremist who was handpicked by Mitch McConnell and is deeply out of touch with Kentucky values.
Greta Kemp Martin is a disability rights advocate and lawyer with a strong history of standing up for the rights of all Mississippians. Her opponent, the sitting Republican AG, was the architect of the Mississippi Dobbs case that paved the way for the Supreme Court to take away abortion rights.
These won’t be easy races by any means. We’re up against powerful far-right forces with deep pockets.
It’s not an off-year, it’s an on-year. Thanks for chipping in what you can so we can win big in November.
Farah Melendez, Senior Political Advisor

Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and we can't stop now – will you chip in today?
