A great opportunity has arisen for an innovative, dynamic Chef Manager to help deliver a professional service at Gedling Country Park Cafe 1899.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the cafes food and beverage function and event operation, including high standards of customer service and leading and managing a team of catering staff.
This is a hands on role and you will be integral to the team producing and providing a fresh, high quality menu offer, helping frontlinewith serving customers, creating rotas for the team, ordering stock, stock rotation, training and development of the team, managing team attendance issues and catering finance.

You will be a first class communicator and have excellent customer service skills. We are looking for an individual who can focus on customer standards, has strong leadership, is flexible and has a keen eye for detail and presentation.

The successful candidate will have experience in Health and Safety and Food Safety, have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. An understanding of licensed premises and Weights and Measures act 2003 is desirable as the premises will be licensed.

You will be responsible for cash handling and cash reconciliation and you will be confident in analysing and producing weekly financial reports for the Commercial Catering Manager and a monthly report that you can assist in presenting to the partners.

A supervisory or management qualification is desirable as well as a recognised food and beverage qualification which is essential.
