Team — all of us are more familiar than we would like to be with my colleague Lauren Boebert’s outrageous comments and far-right legislative agenda.

But here’s something we don’t talk about enough: the Colorado GOP has become so extreme, and so out of touch with the people of our state, that Boebert is no longer a fringe candidate.

The new party chair has taken to calling everyone he disagrees with a “groomer” and promised to use scorched-earth tactics to elect more hard-right, MAGA-style candidates.

Here’s what it all boils down to: if the GOP succeeds in defeating me in this next election — and you can bet they’ll try anything to make that happen — there’s a good chance a candidate in the mold of Boebert, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and other far-right figures will take my place.

I’m committed to fighting back against GOP extremism and making progress for the regular families whose needs Washington often ignores — but I can’t keep up that work if we let the Colorado GOP flip this seat. Can I count on you to pitch in $20, or any amount that works for you, to fight back against the attacks we know will be coming our way?

The Colorado GOP is determined to ban abortion, make life dangerous for LGBTQ+ Americans, and roll back all the progress we’ve made fighting climate change.

But together, we have what it takes to not only fight back, but to fight for progress.

I’m working every day in Congress to combat our nation’s opioid epidemic, address our shortage of affordable housing, stand up for basic freedoms like the right to choose and the right to vote, and make our economy work better for working people.

If you’d like to see more of that kind of representation for Colorado — and less of the far-right antics of Lauren Boebert and other extremists — I’d be so grateful to have your support in this campaign. [[link removed]]

Thanks so much,

Brittany
