Friend, day after day, GOP lawmakers show us just how out of step they are with the majority of Americans.

Their most recent budget proposal prioritizes tax cuts that benefit the wealthiest Americans, cuts to Social Security and Medicare, and spending even more federal funds to complete a southern border wall most voters don’t believe we need.

Rather than address the issues that are on voters’ minds – gun violence, reproductive freedom, rising cost of living, and climate change, to name a few – my colleagues across the aisle would prefer to put popular programs on the chopping block.

But as a member of the House Democratic Caucus, I feel a responsibility to offer meaningful solutions for the challenges and opportunities before us.

In order to move those solutions, though, we simply must retake the House majority next year. I believe we can do it, but with summer in full swing, we are starting to fall short of our budget goals. To get back on track we need to activate 24 grassroots supporters before Friday’s mid-July budget deadline. Only if you’re able, can you start us off with a donation? Any amount goes a long way.
