Confidence in the Supreme Court fell to an all time low, according to recent polling. With the Supreme Court releasing a wave of harmful decisions, it comes as no surprise that Americans can’t trust that their rights will be protected nationally. After stripping every woman’s right to have abortion and contraception access with the Dobbs decision, rejecting the use of affirmative action to help disenfranchised groups get college degrees, and protecting discrimination under the First Amendment, it’s more important than ever that state and local governments take an active approach to limit those decisions’ disastrous effects on Americans.

That’s why the Democratic Party of New Mexico is dedicated to protecting critical civil rights and liberties in our state by electing legislators who will bring forth policy that will bolster our rights, not limit them. The only way we can make sure New Mexico stays immune to ultra-conservative Supreme Court decisions is by donating to the Democratic Party of New Mexico. Without enough resources, we can’t elect Democrats into office who will step up and fight for our rights when they are under constant threat by the GOP.
