🚨 Iowa passes near-total ban 🚨

At the urging of Governor Kim Reynolds, Iowa held a special legislative session to pass a near-total abortion ban. The bill, which has a six-week ban in place, will be effective immediately following the Governor's signature.
While the bill touts exceptions for rape, incest, and maternal harm, the misnomer of those "exceptions" has strict rules to be able to obtain an abortion in the state: "For those exceptions to apply, the rape must have been reported to law enforcement or a “public or private health agency” — which includes a family doctor — within 45 days, and the incest must have been reported to any of those officials or entities within 140 days."
When children are the victims of sexual violence in their homes...do you really believe they are given the opportunity to report it? Do you think that Iowa Republicans consider those nuances?
Not only is this not compatible with the proclaimed "pro-life" stance, most voters don't agree with it either, per the NYT: "A Des Moines Register-Mediacom Iowa poll from this year found that 61 percent of adults in the state believed abortion should be legal in most or all cases, while 35 percent believed it should be illegal in most or all cases."
