We’re so excited to announce that our team will be speaking at the  Animal and Vegan Advocacy (AVA) Summit from July 27-30 in Los Angeles, CA. Animal Outlook is a sponsor and an exhibitor, and three members of the Animal Outlook team will be presenting. We'd love for you to join us. As an Animal Outlook supporter, you can get $100 off your registration using the code - AOatAVA. Here are our team members that will be presenting:

Cheryl Leahy is the Executive Director of Animal Outlook, and from 2006-2019 she led the Legal Advocacy department as General Counsel, targeting large-scale abuse of farmed animals through undercover investigations, proactive litigation, policy, and other innovative legal campaigns. Cheryl now works on the strategic direction of the organization as a whole, especially focusing on the use of undercover investigations as a mechanism for high-impact advocacy and culture change, and on targeting systemic abuse of farmed animals through proactive litigation. Cheryl and her work have been featured in major media outlets including NPR, The Washington Post, and many more. She is a regular speaker at law schools and conferences. Cheryl is speaking in the session titled "The Challenges and Power of Investigations."
Scott David is the Director of Investigations for Animal Outlook and a former undercover investigator. His investigative work offered the first hidden-camera look inside a US lamb slaughterhouse, and at a Hormel supplier slaughter plant, Scott exposed the horrors of a cruel USDA high-speed slaughter pilot program. His video from inside a Mountaire Farms chicken slaughterhouse exposed shocking animal abuse and revealed the dangers of ag-gag legislation as one such law made its way through the state legislature. Now retired from the field, he spends his time assisting with research and supporting Animal Outlook’s current investigators as they expose animal cruelty. Scott will also be speaking in the session titled "The Challenges and Power of Investigations."

Director of Farm Transitions, Angela Caudle de Freitas, is a native of Arkansas and has been involved in sustainable and organic agriculture since 1996. Angela currently serves as the Director of Farm Transitions at Animal Outlook where her focus is on supporting farmers to change their agricultural systems from animal-based to plant-based production, both through implementing the Animal Outlook Blueprint for Farm Transitions, as well as, implementing a global training program to support similar work at other organizations. Angela will be speaking in the session titled "Farmer and Food Transitions."
This summit is a wonderful opportunity to hear more about Animal Outlook’s work, and to hear from over 120 global speakers. There will also be morning meditation and wellness activities, a mini film fest, karaoke, and delicious vegan meals.

We can’t wait to connect with hundreds of others who want to create a better tomorrow for all animals and we hope to see you there.
