Wildlife and Nature Reserves

Fungi

*Would you like to volunteer with us?*

Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, visit sites you've not been to before, get some exercise and see lots of different wildlife! We have session on most Wednesdays and joint sessions with NWT City Local Group on the first Saturday of the month.

Please note new start and finish times for some sessions, this is to include a walk, either on the reserve or nearby reserves. The conservation tasks will be in the morning with the walk in the afternoon. You may join us for all or part of the day the meeting place will be the same for morning and afternoon.

Please wear suitable work clothing and bring waterproofs, a packed lunch and something to drink. A flask for hot drinks will be available for you to have a hot drink. There are no facilities on these sites, so bring everything you need with you. Unfortunately there are no toilets on the sites, unless specified. We will provide all tools and equipment needed and it is free to come along!

To help you with finding the work site we have included the following; bus number & stop, a post code and a what3words code. what3words is a navigation app available for some smart phones, please visit your phone's app store for details.

If you would like more information, please email us at [email protected] or call 0115 9152733
