One of my main goals as Comptroller is to make government work better for people. To do that, we have to modernize our Agency and make our systems more efficient and accessible for all residents. Since being sworn into office, my team and I have been hard at work to do just that!

We’ve recently announced that anyone who finds their name on the unclaimed property list can now file their claims digitally on Maryland OneStop. This new online system adds a new option for Marylanders.

Prior to this new system, if you had unclaimed property, you needed to print a form and mail it in - challenging for many and even impossible for some! This new system allows Marylanders to go the paper route if they want to, but also creates a new online option where you can upload the required documents and just hit submit!

This effort is just one of many steps we’re taking in the Comptroller’s office to improve our state’s systems. I look forward to sharing more about our work with you!
