Friend,

I wanted to follow up on my previous email…

You and I both know how divided our politics are. Turn on the TV at any given moment, and you’ll be greeted with a perfect example every single time.

I’m fighting to remove the partisanship from the important conversations that need to be had to fix our state. I’m fighting to put progress above partisanship.

But friend, as I mentioned in my email below, there are forces in Salem who want to defeat me. They want to protect the partisan status quo and stall progress.

...and if they notice a lack of support, they’ll try to tear me down.

That’s why I need you to project strength by helping me meet my End of Month fundraising goal. They have 6 weeks to raise money full-tilt, while I’m on a fundraising freeze during the legislative session.  Right now my team tells me we’re still 30% shy of our End of Month goal….

Friend,

I know you get a lot of emails. I know you’re stretched pretty thin. But I’m hoping I can grab your attention for just two minutes – this is very important…

In one week, the fundraising blackout for the February legislative session begins. I won’t be able to accept a contribution for six weeks, while the partisan special interests in Salem will be raising money full-tilt to try to defeat me.

That’s why my team and I have a lofty goal… We can’t let these partisan special interests get ahead of us. We need to meet our January End of Month fundraising goal if we have any chance of coming out on top in November.

Can I count on your help?

Your contribution will go towards defending what we all love about Bend from the forces in Salem who are seeking to undo it all.

Here’s what’s at stake….

While our national politics are polarized and too divided, here in Bend we make positive change by working together – respectfully. Some people in Salem disagree.

We need to boost graduation rates, make sure family budgets and jobs are respected, and support housing affordability... but some people in Salem would rather drag their feet.

Friend, I need you to join me as I fight for you to achieve positive, bipartisan solutions for a better, stronger Bend.

I can’t do any of this without you. Will you help me meet my goal?

Cheri Helt
