Hi John,

My name is Andy Warriner and I am this summer’s finance intern for the Minnesota DFL. I am a rising junior at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and I’m majoring in Political Science and Chicano & Latino Studies. SKI-U-MAH!

I decided to intern with the DFL this summer because I am passionate about promoting equity and advocating for marginalized groups. I am so proud to be working for a party that shows up for every community across the state and seeks to involve everyone in the political process. 

During my time at the DFL, I’ve seen firsthand how hard everyone here works to build media campaigns, expand our party’s organizing across the state, train the next generation of Democratic campaign staff, and so much more — all so we can keep winning elections and improving people’s lives.

As part of the fundraising team for the summer, I’m also learning about the direct impact every single grassroots contribution makes on getting Democrats to the polls, which is why I asked to reach out personally this morning. 

We just went through our latest fundraising numbers, and we’re lagging behind our goal for this week. To catch up, we still need to raise just over $9,000 by Friday night.
