Today we commemorate the 101st birthday of civil rights icon Fred T. Korematsu and are reminded to always stand up for what is right. Fred Korematu's legacy for social justice has fundamentally changed our country and continues to be a beacon for social change to this day. Korematsu Day is also the first U.S. holiday named after an Asian American.
