Dear Friend,

Today more than 6 million people are living
with Alzheimer's disease in the United States, and more than 11 million
family members and friends are providing unpaid care. We continue our
efforts in the fight to end Alzheimer's and remain committed in our
search for methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.

You can help us continue to provide care
and support to those affected by this devastating disease. Your gift to
our 2023 Annual Fund will make a difference in the fight against
Alzheimer's.

With support from friends like you, we have
experienced great momentum in our fight to end Alzheimer's disease:

* We continued to achieve increases in federal research funding.
Thanks in large part to our advocacy efforts, Congress has taken
decisive action in the fight to end Alzheimer's, with more than a
seven-fold increase in research funding at the National
Institutes of Health (NIH) since the National Alzheimer's Project
Act (NAPA), legislation championed by the Alzheimer's
Association, was signed into law in 2011. Annual Alzheimer's and
dementia research funding at the NIH now totals $3.2 billion.
* The Alzheimer's Association made its largest-ever research
investment last year, granting more than $59 million to 253
scientific investigations. As the world's leading nonprofit
funder of Alzheimer's and dementia research, the Association is
currently investing over $320 million in more than 1,000 active
best-of-field projects in 54 countries.
* The Association provided care and support more than 7.5 million
times through channels including alz.org, care consultations,
support groups, education programs and information. Our free 24/7

(800.272.3900), staffed by specialists and master's-level
clinicians received over 220,000 calls last year.

These achievements improve the quality of
life for people with Alzheimer's and their families and give hope for a
future without the disease. But until we end Alzheimer's, we have to
keep fighting. And we need your support to do it.
