INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

Thanks to district staff for a successful submission of the WDE684 WINDS Collection, the first to include membership and attendance data. Districts have until July 12 to review and resubmit. Final data will be used in the 2022-23 accountability calculations.

The WY-TOPP, WY-ALT, and ACT student level data file will be available July 19-August 1. Districts have two weeks to work with WDE Assessment to report students with missing test scores or WISER ID errors.?

The Post Secondary Readiness and College and Career Readiness Indicator review will open July 17. Districts have until September 15 to fix 2022-23 data that will be used in 2023-24 accountability calculations.

SCHOOL SUPPORT

Classrooms in Wyoming are invited to engage with exciting NASA missions [ [link removed] ] currently in progress through NASA?s Next Gen STEM SPARX (Sparking Participation and Real-world experiences in STEM). SPARX is a free educator professional development opportunity that provides teachers with on-demand training and access to an exclusive online community of practice. During the school year, educators can connect their classrooms virtually with NASA scientists and engineers to help expose students to various STEM careers and the Engineering Design Process (EDP).

STANDARDS & ASSESSMENT

Statewide assessments training for all District Test Coordinators (DTC) and Building Coordinators (BC) will take place virtually on three separate dates in August. Register here [ [link removed] ]?to participate.

All WY-TOPP and WY-ALT assessment platforms will be down August 7-14. This includes TIDE and the Authoring Tool.?

* *September 9:*?Senior retake - Test date selection and verification of student enrollment steps must be completed.
* *September 11-15:* WDE will provide ACT professional development opportunities in Cheyenne. Descriptions of each three-hour event are available on the registration form [ [link removed] ].
