Hi there,
It's hot outside, and while you might be dreaming of cooler places, July in DC is spectacular. There's no better time to try a new restaurant, meet new neighbors at a GGWash Happy Hour, or go out for an evening walk. Let's hear it for DC summer nights!
This month, we have several opportunities to engage with our work. Make sure your contact information is up to date, join us at a happy hour, or deepen your impact by becoming one of our newest sustaining supporters. Read on to learn more!

GGWash hosts monthly Ward 1.5 meet-ups at Grand Duchess in Adams Morgan, and this month it is on Sunday, July 16. Meet others who want to see more housing, more affordable housing, fewer trips by car, and the land-use regulations necessary to support the above—plus, hear what GGWash is working on, particularly in northwest D.C., and what you can do to get involved. This month, we'll give some updates on the 1617 U Street upzoning (ZC 23-02). Sign up to receive updates!

| Do we have the right address for you?
Check what we've got on file here and, if what you see isn't the address of where you live, we'd be much obliged if you updated your information. We periodically ask you to confirm your address so that we can reach out to you about specific housing developments, transportation projects, volunteer opportunities, electoral work, or any other number of other things that are relevant because you live close to where they're happening, so we'll be sending you several reminders to confirm your location over the next few months. Email [email protected] with any questions.

Share your Transit Diary
We're looking for volunteers to spend a week documenting the ins and outs of their day-to-day experiences navigating the region (on feet, wheels, or rails). If you are looking for a way to get involved with GGWash, consider writing a Transit Diary! Its a great way to get started writing for us, will help you identify barriers to mobility you encounter in your regularly, and might even inspire a neighbor to change the way they travel. Email [email protected] to learn more.

| Become a recurring donor
If you want to support GGWash's work, the single most impactful thing you can do is become a sustaining donor. Monthly, recurring contributions are the lifeblood of our organization. In the last year, our Neighbors helped us publish more than 700 pieces from 99 contributors, reach over 2 million readers, and celebrate some major policy wins across the region. Let’s keep that energy going! We need 65 new Neighbors by the end of August. |

| Thank you so much for everything you continue to do for our region! Hopefully I will see you at an event soon. All the best, Kate Jentoft-Herr Engagement Director |
