Republicans have already started spending big in frontline races like Susan Wild and Angie Craig’s — and it’s no accident. They know as well as we do that those elections are going to be close. 

We’re used to close elections. Jahana Hayes won her most recent election by just 1,961 votes — a margin of less than 1 percentage point.  

When races are that close, we win in the margins. Every single thing we do (or don’t do) can sway the results one way or the other. That’s why we fight our asses off for all of our frontline candidates, year-round. There is no off-season for us. 

It’s so critical to build up our resources now to defend these at-risk seats next year. Early money wins elections, and to be honest, we’re going to need a lot of it to win back the House from Kevin McCarthy.
