Dear Friend,
As an 18 year old, I share the same fears my peers have – that this planet will be uninhabitable for me to enjoy the same luxuries older Americans have. Last week alone, we experienced four consecutive days of the hottest day on record, globally. We are seeing rising sea levels, droughts, extreme weather patterns, heatwaves, and a sixth mass extinction event at our doorstep.
The climate crisis is the largest threat not just to this nation, but all of civilization and it will greatly impact my generation and future generations.

Yes, this is a fundraising email but it is not a typical fundraising email. My peers and I have dreams and ambitions, but most importantly, we have the desire to live on a planet that is habitable.
Many of our leaders are ignoring our pleas and are crushing our dreams by passing anti-climate legislation, approving oil drilling projects, and taking campaign contributions from Big Oil corporations. My generation needs a president who will lead the way to save this planet for the sake of current and future generations that are going to face the extremes of the climate crisis.
I am proud to support Marianne Williamson because her climate action policies [[link removed]] are the most ambitious in the field. I have confidence Marianne will listen to climate experts and work tirelessly in the White House for a habitable future. For example, she has committed to canceling the Willow Project on Day One in office, and to expanding investments to reach 100 percent renewable energy by 2035 or sooner.
